VARCA: Urging Goenkars (Goans) particularly his Benaulim constituents against stepping out of their homes, NCP’s Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao requested the State government to extend the present three-day lockdown by another 10 days.
Churchill said, “I urge my Goenkar brothers and sisters to have patience and stay indoors and not move out of your houses. I also request the State government to further extend the present lockdown by another 10 days. Also, the government should requisition for more ventilators and beds as people are dying due to the acute shortage.”
He said, “I beg Goans particularly my Banalkars (Benaulim residents) to stay at home as the virus is spreading rapidly. Hospitals are unable to cope with the rush of patients. Ventilators and beds are a must and so government should provide them immediately. I pray to Lord Jesus and Mother Mary to end this pandemic soon.”
