MARGAO: Congress MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, thanking the chief minister for helping him in providing essentials to people in his constituency, has appealed to him not to differentiate amongst the people in this testing times.
“Provisions should be provided to all Goans,” he said.
He said, “In Margao there has been differentiation amongst the people and hence Congress supporters have not received the provisions as they have been given only to the BJP supporters. However, he thanked the chief minister for helping him in providing essentials to people in his constituency.”
Now that it is time for harvesting paddy, he appealed to farmers not to sell the paddy this year as they usually do. “We may need the paddy in these times and hence I request you to please do not sell your harvest,” he said.
He also asked for safety equipment and material to be provided to the staff of the health centre at Curtorim as patients including old ones are asked to remain outside to maintain social distancing.
“Some of the elderly people have complained to me that they cannot stand for so long and that too out in the sun,” he said.
“Let us unitedly fight this pandemic and adhere to our Goan culture of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene,” he said.
