MARGAO: Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco has requested Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to postpone the Class X and XII Board exams due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Congress MLA has suggested that the rescheduled date should be latest by May 15, 2020 as the students and their parents/guardians are stressed out due to the non-announcement of the final date of their exams.
“In particular, the stress level among the students has reached a peak and many may require counselling and help. In view of such a situation it is necessary to take a decision in next two days urgently,” he said.
“The monsoon is also approaching fast therefore the rescheduled date should be announced immediately, which will provide much needed relief to both the students and their parents/guardians,” the MLA added.
