MARGAO: Will Margao MLA Digambar Kamat attend the meeting called by the Aquem Ground Bachao Association at the T B Cunha school, Aquem on Sunday evening?
When this question was posed by the media to the Committee, Naveen Raikar said that the Association has invited not just Kamat, but other MLAs as well for the Sunday meeting.
“Digambar Kamat had himself played on Costa ground. He had told the people of Aquem that he would never allow a pickaxe to fall on the Costa ground come what may. The people are now waiting for the Margao MLA to support the cause of Aquemkars and stand by them to prevent concretisation of the Costa ground,” Raikar added.
