VASCO: The Mormugao Municipal Council on Thursday unveiled the newly designed logo for the centenary year celebration of the Camara de Municipal in presence of entire council. The logo has been designed by Vinsan graphics as a CSR initiative.
The logo was unveiled by Chairperson Kritesh Naik Gaunkar along with all the councillors.
On the occasion, the chairperson informed that there are a host of major projects that are going to come up in the town as part of the centenary year celebration.
“These projects include fish market in Vasco town and Baina, power house commercial project and multi-level parking. The development of wards of the MMC is also going on presently, the chairperson said.
Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes said that on February 10, at 4 pm, the centenary celebration would be inaugurated with a rally to mark the day soon followed by a show by Lorna. On the second day, there will be a street food festival. The programs are spread for full 7 days.
“We are trying to help the self help groups to our best. Samruddhi utsav, funded by the Government will also be held on the following days of the celebration,” the chief officer said.
The events include a fair in front of Municipality and other musical and cultural events. Vinsan graphics has designed the logo for the 100 years celebration and have expressed their pride in being a part of the celebration.
