MAPUSA: The Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) is conducting a survey of dangerous trees to cut them to prevent accidents including fatal ones.
MMC chairperson Shubhangi Vaigankar said this survey will be conducted by different departments including electricity and forest and the municipality will help in identifying these dangerous trees.
“We are now conducting a survey of dangerous trees along the roadside and will take necessary action after taking owners into confidence. After cutting these trees, another list of trees prepared after Cyclone Tauktae will be taken up,” Vaigankar added.
