MARGAO: Councillor Raju Shirodkar, who represents ward number 24 of the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) was apparently behind the brazen installation of the air-conditioner and giving a posh look to the storeroom meant for dustbins at Gogol Housing Board, Margao.
It may be recalled that on Sept 16, Savio Coutinho had highlighted how the earlier composting pit that was tendered to construct a storeroom at the estimated cost of Rs 49,723 and had tiled the flooring along with a wash-basin inside and an air-conditioner.
