MARGAO, JULY 14
The Margao Municipal Council on Wednesday conducted an anti-encroachment drive in the congested Gandhi market and seized goods displayed in passages and open spaces in the market.
Led by a MMC team headed by market inspector, Mohan Arlekar, the team went about removing the encroachments from the market passages. Goods worth around Rs 25000 were seized during the operation.
This is the first such exercise in the Gandhi market in recent times.
