VASCO: In order to keep up the operations smooth without any hindrance due to labour crises, the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) on Thursday formally issued letters giving extension to around 45 contract workers whose contract expired on January 31, 2017, but now they will be allowed to work up to March 31, 2017.
According to MMC chief officer Deepali Naik, last year MMC adopted a resolution and appointed 45 workers on a contract period which expired on January 31, 2017.
