VASCO: Mormugao Municipal Council’s Chief Officer has issued order against five multistory illegal structures near El Monto theatre in Vasco. Chief Officer has passed this order after taking personal hearings where the respondents failed to produce permissions from the MMC and Mormugao Planning Development Authority, as per the order.
As per the order, fifteen days of time has been given to these respondents to demolish and remove the illegal structures. “Now the technical section from the Municipality will look after the matter” he added.
Speaking to the reporters, Tari confirmed that such an order was passed on July 23, following several written complaints from multiple people MMC received. The personnel hearings were called and ample time and opportunity were provided to the respondents to produce the necessary permissions from the MMC and MPDA which they failed to meet.
