MARGAO: The Margao Municipal Council sealed more shops in the heart of Margao town operating without trade licence. The MMC Accounts and Taxation officer Abhay Rane along with Assistant Engineers and his Market team has sealed at least four shops in areas behind the municipality. These shops too do not possess trade licence.
The Officials checked in all the establishments in the areas and found four shops that couldn’t satisfy the requirements of trade licence.
Meanwhile, Chief Officer Johnson Fernandes has checked on the documents of the earlier sealed shops. Some shops sealed on Wednesday were released after they produced the agreements and licences. It was also discovered that a bank also did not provide trade licence.
