The Margao Municipal Council (MMC) and South Goa Planning and Development Authority (SGPDA) have jointly undertaken rigorous measures to address the issue of fish vendors occupying areas outside the wholesale fish market. These efforts include the removal of parked vehicles that have been causing obstructions in the vicinity of the market.
According to an SGPDA officer, fish vendors have been granted permission to conduct their trade from 4:00 AM to 10:00 AM, during a designated window of time. However, it is important to note that beyond 10:00 AM, the sale of fish outside the market premises will not be permitted.
These proactive measures aim to streamline operations within the fish market and ensure a more organized and efficient trading environment.
