VASCO: The Mormugao Municipal Council has started a nursing aid course to create employment for the women from Vasco. The course has been organised and hosted under the Deendayal Antyoday Yojana of the National Urban Livelihood Mission.
The course will be of 7 months and women will be trained in first aid, helping nurses, administering injections and also in dressing wounds. Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes said, “Every house today needs a nursing aid due to diabetes and insulin administration and also for checking BP and other helps. This course will be a success given the amount of women in the MMC jurisdiction.”
