“We were surprised to know about the work of installing hoardings opposite Dabolim airport. As the area falls under the MMC’s jurisdiction, they should have sought permission from us. However they failed to do so, and thus, we have issued show cause notices to the party and will also take strict action against them” said Naik.
According to municipal sources, the councillors have decided to raise the issue of hoardings at the forthcoming council meeting.
, after which the MMC will start initiating action. The councillors were also surprised at how NHAI officials gave permission to install huge hoardings while keeping MMC in the dark.
