Margao: The Margao Municipal Council (MMC) celebrate ‘strict’ Carnival celebrations adhering to the MHA guidelines.
MMC Chief Officer who is the Chairman of the MMC Carnival Organisation Committee said, “since Carnival is a major attraction of South Goa we have urged all the Government authorities to take responsible part in the Carnival. Though Khell Tiatrs at ward levels in Margao is an annual affair there is no decision taken on holding them this year”.
The program will start at 2 pm in the afternoon and the float parade will start at 3 pm and will be strictly end at 10 pm.
The MMC has decided to have sanitization booths and isolation chambers at 9 different points wherein the Urban Health Center, Margao will undertake sanitization of the public before the float parade. The persons having symptoms will be kept in isolation.
