MARGAO: Claiming that the feast fair causes lots of hardships, traffic problems, noise pollution and sanitation problems to the Maddel residents, Savio Dias and others have urged the Margao Municipal Council not to allow fair on parking space, and footpaths in the town again.
In the letter to the civic body, Savio Dias and the residents requested not to have any feast fair at the parking space near Saint Francis Xavier Chapel, Maddel and also on the footpath leading from Old Market Circle to KTC Bus stand, Fatorda – Margao.
“This humble request is made to your office as it causes lots of hardships, traffic problems, noise pollution and sanitation problems to the Maddel residents. By allowing the fair on footpath, your office is thereby committing contempt of the High Court order”, he stated.
