MARGAO: Social activist Dr Francisco Colaco appealed to the Margao Municipal Council to respect people’s sentiments by naming two roads after Dr Jack Sequeira and Padma Shri Bakibab Borkar, on Saturday.
He also urged the MMC to immediately install plaques at the appropriate places giving the names of the roads.
It may be recalled that citizens have named the road from Ravindra Bhavan Circle to Chowgule Junction as Dr Jack Sequeira Road and from Chowgule Junction to Arlem Junction as Padma Shri Bakibab Borkar road pre-empting Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai’s plan to name the entire road after former chief minister late Manohar Parrikar.
