Mob burns down Kumthol Wildlife Forest check post

VALPOI: A mob of 150 people burned down the Kumthol Village Wildlife Forest check post office and damaged the wildlife entrance gate and property, on Tuesday evening.
At the time of incident, one forest guard and four workers were on duty. 
The mob threatened the guard and workers of dire consequences and confiscated their mobile phones before setting the place on fire and damaging the property.
After burning the check post and property, the miscreants warned them not to inform the media and said if they do come, they will be also beaten up.
Range Forest Officer of Mhadei Wildlife, Valpoi Suhas Naik has filed a complaint at Valpoi Police Station. In his complaint, he mentioned that a group of 150 people entered into the forest area and burned down Kumthol Forest Check Post office and damaged the property.
Valpoi Police Station has registered a complaint against the unknown persons under the Section 143, 147, 504, 506, 436, 427 and 149 IPC. 
The investigation is going on, and till now no one has been arrested. The forest guard and four workers, who were present at the site, were not ready to speak out. 
“We have already informed our higher authorities about happened at Kumthol Forest Check Post. The forest guards and workers are afraid to work here now. And our higher rank officers are not bothered. There is threat to forest guards and workers to work in future,” informed Suhas.
