VASCO: Finally the controversial mobile tower atop a residential building in New Vaddem Vasco was dismantled by the local residents, recently.
According to the residents, though they had raised serious objections to the new mobile tower in their residential locality, the mobile tower company concerned failed to remove the tower. Therefore, they all decided not to wait for the company, but to remove the same on their own.
Thus, a group of residents along with few supporters of former Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho got together on Wednesday and without any damage, successfully dismantled the same on their own. The residents had opposed setting up mobile tower in their locality fearing radiations.
