CUNCOLIM: Quepem Mamlatdar Pratap Gaonkar informed the media that the primary necessary exercise for the panchayat election has been completed. Voter lists of all eleven panchayat are ready and available for voters in their respective panchayat to check.
Gaonkar said there are 34137 voters in eleven panchayat. Of which 16999 are male voters and 17318 female voters. There are total 81 wards in eleven panchayat. Xeldem panchayat is having the maximum number of voters with 6763 while Naqueri Betul is the smallest panchayat with 1807 voters.
The elections will be held in 55 voting booths. Nomination will be accepted from May 18 to May 25th which will be the last date to file the nomination papers. May 29 is the day for withdrawal. Elections will be held on June 11.
