PANJIM: Rajya Sabha member of  parliament Shantaram Naik has said that BJP, as a party does not exist, since their prime ministerial Narendra Modi is selectively targeting and finishing senior BJP leaders one by one. He also termed Modi’ s targeting of Defence Minister AK Anthony as a Pakistani agent as not only an electoral offence, but said he should be arrested under IPC for sedition.
“He (Modi) has wiped out senior leaders like Lal Krishna Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Murli Manohar Joshi, Jaswant Singh and Lalji Tandon from the party to fulfil his dream of becoming PM,” he alleged saying Modi is replicating what Dharmendra had threatened through his famous dialogue ‘chun chunk ke marronga’ in the movie Sholay. “He has been doing this so that any potential person should not be his rival.”
Naik, All India Congress Committee secretary in-charge of Karnataka, urged the Election Commission of India to book a suo-moto criminal case against Modi for calling Defence Minister A.K. Antony a Pakistani agent. “ECI should book a case against him for sedition, under Indian Penal Code,” he demanded.
He said Anthony’s living was so simple that he did not have money to pay his hospital bills and AICC paid the same. Anthony till today lives in a rented house and used to cycle to work as Chief Minister of Kerala.
He said Gujarat Chief Minister Modi has neglected the security of coastal areas in his own state which are close to the Pakistan border.
“The Centre allotted 30 boats with night vision cameras to the Gujarat government but they were not used when there was a need for coastal vigil. Instead, the money was used for police stations in Banaskantha and Ahmedabad which are not relevant to coastal security,” Naik said.
Taking a dig at Modi campaign “Congress mukt bharat”, the sitting MP took offense saying it is an insult to freedom fighters who belonged to Congress party.
He demanded that Modi should come clear on his marital status at the time of filing his nomination from Varanasi seat. Naik claimed Modi has been keeping the columns on his marital status and assets of spouse blank, and also questioned whether a primary school teacher Yashoda Ben who claims to be his wife in a youtube video is his real spouse.
