Love grows through understanding. It can never be wrong, but a person can…this is the message conveyed in this drama.
Chris (Netwin Antao) and Shenaya (Natasha Pereira) are madly in love with each other. And Chris keeps his best friend Tristan (Joven D’Souza) informed about his close ties with Shenaya.
Although Tristan had soft corner for Shenaya secretly, he is willing to keep distance and sacrifice for his friend, who has sheltered him under his roof after the death of his parents.
Cheryl (Saivina Fernandes) eyes Chris and is ready to go to any extent to bring in division and rule. Opposition from Tristan to co-operate prompts Cheryl to come in as a secretary to Chris’ mom Valentine (Irene Vaz) and pursue in her mission.
Over a period of time, will Cheryl succeed in wining over Chris? What are the tactics played by Cheryl to bring in doubt in Chris’ mind? Will Chris bow down to his opponent’s diplomacy?
‘Mogachem Jivit’ has a love story to tell. It focuses on varied relationships that prevail in the society. But the entire script falls short of sleek direction and expression of emotions.
Fine tuning in dialogue delivery, besides polishing in acting by various characters on stage would have made the entire play more lively and interesting.
This drama with all amateur artistes on stage lacked equal distribution of scenes. Except for one garden scene soon after the opening chorus, rest all other enactments are traced with the same house scene.
Saivina Fernandes showed enough command as a villain, but lacked emotions in the concluding act. As siblings, Netwin and Joan were presentable. Valentine lacked dominion in mother’s robes. Joven and Natasha doled out considerate performances in their respective characters.
In the comedy role, overacting by Rocky Fernandes as Shampoo spoilt the show. He could have utilized the stage with ease rather than showing rigidity in his movements.
Teens Ashwin Noronha and Victoria entertain with their solos, besides a choral by Netwin, Natasha, Aaron and Annushka and a trio by Cedrick, Vanessa and Augusta.
