MARGAO: Goynche Niz Mogi has demanded prosecution of Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar, for remaining a silent spectator to unregulated mining during his tenure as Chief Minister between 2000 and 2005.

GNM also raised serious reservations on the integrity and credibility of Justice Sudarshan Reddy, and demanded that Justice Reddy and his family disclose their known source of income.

Addressing the media, GNM President James Fernandes said that Parrikar during his earlier tenure as CM could have protected the future of the official mining industry.

But he lamented that Parrikar remained a silent spectator and permitted unregulated mining.
