Margao: The people from Fatorda seem to be taking great interest and partaking in the initiative called ‘Sunday Dialogues’ started by Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai. This Sunday saw the third Sunday dialogue being held in the constituency at Ward No 3 near Alfa Corner in Chandrawaddo area. People braved the scorching heat and flocked the small pandal erected in an open space to convey to their MLA the various problems faced in their ward.
The Sunday being the Church feast in Fatorda also didn’t deter the spirit of the people that saw a packed venue waiting for the MLA who along with the government officials was ready to give time-bound solutions to the people of Ward No 3. A long interaction of grievances of the people ranged from a simple street light that hadn’t been repaired for long to the issue of illegal constructions in the ward that were taken note of and offered advice and solutions by the government officials and the MLA himself.
Calling Sunday dialogues a ‘Mohalla Sabha’ Sardesai said that he would “widen the Arlem-Ambaji road, create sports infrastructure for the Chandrawaddo residents and improve basic amenities for the residents of Ward No 3 in Fatorda Constituency.”
A few sites which the residents had complained about were also visited by MLA Sardesai and the concerned government officials.
