MAPUSA: Mapusa Police on Tuesday arrested one Nitesh Sawant, a resident of Moira, based on a complaint filed by one 19-year-old victim.
The complaint stated that on August 28, at 11 pm and August 29, at 9.20 pm, the accused allegedly fostered personal interaction with the complainant by touching her inappropriately and further abused her and mother with filthy words and threatened them with dire consequences.
The police apprehended the accused person and placed him under arrest. Further, the accused was produced before Mapusa JMFC and remanded him to nine days in judicial custody.
