Moira resident held with drugs

MAPUSA: Twenty-nine-year-old Calizor-Moira resident was arrested by Mapusa Police for possessing a narcotic substance suspected to be ganja worth Rs 1.10 lakh.

According to Mapusa Police, the narcotic raid was conducted by a team headed by PSI Ashish Porob comprising Sushant Chopdekar, Prakash Polekar, Rajesh Kandolkar, Abhishek Kasar and Akshay Patil near Moira Panchayat building, on Friday. 

During the raid, the accused was caught red-handed for possessing a substance, suspected to be ganja worth Rs 1.10 lakh.

The accused has been booked under Section 20(b)(1)(B) of NDPS Act. PSI Kiran Naik is investigating the case.
