The four accused arrested in connection with the gang-rape of a 17-year-old girl from Zariwada-Mollem, have been remanded to nine days police custody.
The four accused were produced before the Magistrate, Children Court, Panjim on Monday.
It may be recalled that the four accused, Vijay Gaonkar, Sagun Varak, Umesh Gaonkar and Gauresh Parkar, were arrested by Collem police for allegedly gang-raping a minor girl on March 19. The main accused from Dandeli-Karnataka in the case has been absconding.
Police team, comprising police constables Mayur Varde and Dasharath Gauns and home guard Sameer Dessai, left for the native place of the accused and seized a Maruti car at Harpanhalli-Halyul, Karnataka.
