However, no resolution was passed on the issue as the matter is been pending in the High Court. Various problems and development works of the village were also discussed by the villagers.

Sarpanch Tanvi Kerkar informed that the people were enquiring about the Tamnar project and some even asked that if in future before the panchayat provides any NOCs for the project then the villagers should be informed about it first and should be brought to discussion in the gram sabha.

Tanvi informed the villagers that no resolution could be passed in the gram sabha as the issue is pending in the High Court.

While speaking to media persons, a Mollem local, Krishna Zore said that he along with the villagers and farmers of Sangod had lot of questions to seek information on Tamnar Project. However, no much discussion was held on the issue. The panchayat informed that no resolution can be passed on the matter as it is pending in the High Court.

It may be recalled that recently, NGO Goa Foundation and five landowners, who would be affected by the Tamnar Project, have filed a Public Interest Litigation before the High Court of Bombay at Goa challenging the approval by the Central Electricity Authority for an alignment of the 400 KV High Tension Line (HTL).
