PANJIM: The three-member Monitoring Committee headed by Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Karnataka, Dr UV Singh would be arriving in Goa on Friday to hold a special meeting to decide on modalities for e-auction of iron ore.
Sheikh Naimuddin, IRS (retd) and former member of the Central Board of Direct Taxes and Special Secretary to the Union Government and Principal Secretary (Mines) Pawan Kumar Sen are the other two members of the committee.
The committee would also be going through the report on re-verification of iron ore lying at the seven jetties, prepared by the Mines Department. Government has already made clear that e-auctioning would be carried out by State while the monitoring committee will assist them.
