MARGAO: The Goa Assembly Session is a farce as the Opposition doesn’t have guts to question the government, the South Goa unit of Aam Admi Party (AAP) has said.
This opinion of the party was expressed at a special meeting convened to discuss the present political scenario in Goa, on Wednesday.
Durgesh Kumar Pathak, senior advisor for AAP Goa unit was present at the meeting.
The Goa Convener Elvis Gomes said, “The present assembly session is a farce. People who asked questions, have gone and sat on the treasury benches. The questions are withdrawn which goes to say that according to them they were never issues.”
He said that they could have given the questions to their colleagues when they left. “This is shameful,” he said. “Passing the budget without fulfilling the constitutional requirement of a debate is a farce,” he said.
