PANJIM: The upcoming monsoon session of the Goa Legislative Assembly is likely to have 15-20 days business with House summoning mostly in the third week of July, said Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar.
Addressing media persons on Tuesday, Tawadkar said that monsoon session will mostly commence from the third week of July. He said that the dates will be announced by the government in coming three-four days.
“Monsoon session is mostly of longer duration. Hence, this time too we are going to have 15-20 days seating,” he said adding “I will ensure that enough opportunity is granted to the opposition to raise their voices”.
Meanwhile, Tawadkar informed that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will be on two-day visit to Goa from June 14. He said that Birla will address the elected MLAs and ex-MLAs on ‘Role of Elected Representatives’ on June 15 morning.
