PANJIM: Over two years after being taken out as Fisheries Director for alleged irregularities, Dr Shamila Monteiro got her old post back.
In September 2017, Monteiro was transferred following alleged irregularities in the distribution of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) cards to the fishermen.
In an order issued on December 6, Monteiro has been posted back as the Director of Fisheries with immediate effect. She, however will continue to hold additional charge as the Member Secretary of the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB). The incumbent director Vinesh Arlenkar has been been asked to report to the Personnel department for further orders.
