PANJIM: In a strong message from Goa Trinamool Congress on women empowerment, two women leaders among more prominent grassroots leaders joined the party on Sunday.
Prathibha Borkar Daghe, former vice-president of Congress Mahila Committee and GPCC social media in-charge in the Lok Sabha elections, along with Rudolfina Vaz, a Konkani artist and former block committee member of AAP joined TMC. Vaz had contested Zilla Parishad elections from Gurdolim in 2020 and she has also been a former panchayat member from 2012 to 2017.
Anthony Peixoto, a former INC Youth President (2009-2010) and Damodar Ghanekar, a lexicographer and a grammarian belonging to one of the oldest families of Panjim also joined the party led by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
