PERNEM: Pernem Police have booked a Morjim resident Avinash D’Souza for trespassing, abusing and threatening parish priest of Morjim Church.
According to police, the alleged accused person owns a restaurant in Morjim and had visited the office of Fr Minguel Pereira to request to bless his restaurant, which is allegedly illegal. However, when Father turned down his request to bless the restaurant, Avinash allegedly abused and threatened to kill Father.
Police has registered an offence under Section 448, 506(2), 504 of Indian Penal Code against the alleged accused Avinash, who is at large. PSI Aditya Naik Gaonkar is investigating the case.
