PANJIM: The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), New Delhi has notified acquisition of 4,09,516 square metres of land for construction of link road from its junction with National Highway-66 (old NH-17) near Dhargalim to Mopa International Airport (new NH 166S) near Varconda in Pernem taluka.
The notification states that in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (1) of Section 30 of the National Highway Act, the Central government has declared that the land specified in the schedule will be acquired for the construction of the link road.
“Central government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central government free from all encumbrance,” states the notification.
