Most Quepem locals stay home

QUEPEM: Quepem market wore a deserted look with the 15-day curfew commencing from Sunday.

Even the petrol pumps and restaurants, which were given the right to serve the public, kept their shutters down.

As most of the residents stayed indoors, there were no vehicles plying on the road, only shops selling essentials and pharmacies were open.

On curfew, Quepem Congress leader Alton D’Costa said that we welcome the government’s decision for saving the lives of people. Also, I am requesting the government to stop functions strictly during the pandemic. There should be no inauguration ceremonies by the MLAs during the COVID-19 crisis in the State.
