Mother convicted for inducing minor daughter into flesh trade
PANJIM: The Children’s Court convicted one Shanta Chodankar of Baina Vasco for forcing her minor daughter into prostitution and sentenced her to undergo seven years rigorous imprisonment, one year simple imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh payable to the girl. The court also said that imprisonment may extend to a further six months if Chodankar fails to pay the fine.
