MAPUSA: In a road accident involving a two wheeler and a four-wheeler, Manita Malik (45) and her daughter Manasi Malik (19) sustained injuries. According to Mapusa police, the accident took place at 11.45 pm on Saturday near Greenland Restaurant located at Madel,Thivim, when the mother-daughter duo were proceeding towards Mapusa from Sakhali on a motorbike. When they reached Madel; the driver of a four-wheeler, bearing registration no GA-03- P-8714, which was coming from the opposite direction and going towards Thivim, lost control and dashed into the incoming motorbike, thereby causing major injuries to the rider and pillion rider. They were rushed to a hospital nearby.
