MARGAO: Maina Curtorim Police today registered a case against an unknown person for showing pornography to a woman against her will following a complaint to that effect by a girl from Coimbatore who had arrived in Goa and was travelling to Margao when the crime occurred.
As the girl found the rates quoted by the taxi drivers at the Dabolim airport too high, she took a motorcycle pilot as she was told they were cheaper. She hired a white Jupiter scooter and began her journey to Margao as the pillion rider.
However, the driver of the scooter after travelling some distance began showing her some pornographic pictures and she immediately contacted her friend and asked her to trace her location by way of GPS and discovered that she was at Belloy Nuvem when the pictures were shown to her.
On arriving at Margao she went to the police station and lodged her complaint with the Maina Curtorim police who has jurisdiction over Nuvem. Police have registered a case under Section 354 A(iii) of the Indian Penal Code and in the process of identifying the culprit.
