Motorcycle thefts: three suspects held

Old Goa Police on Wednesday arrested three suspects, including a truck driver, on suspicion of stealing seven motorcycles.
Old Goa police intercepted a Tata Tipper truck (KA-27-A-1166) along the Chimbel by-pass, which was on its way from a godown in Chimbel towards Hubli with seven Bajaj Pulsar motorcycles.
On enquiry, no valid documents of all the seven motorcycles were found with the truck driver. However, the truck driver claimed that the vehicles which they were carrying were the seized vehicles from a finance company.
Later, the police arrested the vehicle driver and two others under Section 41 and were later released on bail. Old Goa PSI Dattaguru Sawant is investigating the case further under the supervision of PI Francis Xavier Corte.
