A bike rider was injured after a branch of a roadside tree fell on him while riding his bike on Thursday morning at Chicalim. The rider who has been shifted to the Sub District Hospital, Chicalim sustained injuries on his head and nose. Fire officials have requested the concerned authorities to trim overgrown branches of the trees to avoid such incidents.
It may be recalled that two such incidents have taken place within the last 4 months. In August a woman was killed after a tree fell on a moving bike. While her husband who was riding the bike sustained serious injuries. In September a motorcyclist was seriously injured after a gulmohar tree fell on his bike.
