PONDA: Prakash Gaonkar from Wagon Kirlapal Dabal, Dharbandora died on the spot after his bike was knocked down by a tempo at Usgaon.
The fatal accident took place at around 8 pm when both the vehicles were proceeding towards Khandepar from Usgao when the tempo diver lost control of his vehicle and banged against the bike dragging the rider for around 50 meters. Police say that the victim’s head was crushed under the front wheel of the tempo.
Bus turns turtle at Bondla, six injured: Meanwhile in another accident reported at Bondla, a bus turned turtle after the driver lost of his vehicle injuring twelve passengers in the bargain.
Police say that while six among those injured had to be shifted to GMC as they sustained serious injuries, the others were being treated at the PHC Dharbandora.
All the injured were from Margao and gone on a visit to the Bondla Zoo and were returning home at around 7.30 pm when the mishap occurred.
Meanwhile in another mishap reported at Bythokhol, Borim, two cars collided against each other and six occupants from both the vehicles were injured.
