CURCHOREM: A two-wheeler rider lost his life while two others were seriously injured in a freak accident that occurred at Curchorem near the railway station on Saturday.
According to Curchorem police, Somranjan Sahu (16) of Xeldem along with his brother Paresh (9) was proceeding towards Curchorem market on a two-wheeler via railway gate road at Xirford.
According to sources, after taking right turn leading to New Educational Institute, the rider lost control over the vehicle after hitting slightly on the side mirror of a car. He later banged against a roadside electric pole and later hit a pedestrian Shruti Teli (24) who suffered head injuries.
All the three injured persons were shifted to Primary Health Centre, Curchorem where Somranjan was declared dead while the other two have been shifted to GMC Hospital, Bambolim for further treatment.
