PERNEM: A petrol pump attendant at Dhargalim was taken for a ride when a motorist handed over to him four fake 500 rupee notes after filling fuel in his vehicle on Sunday night.
The incident was captured by the CCTV camera installed at the station, there is every possibility that the vehicle’s number could be fake.
Pernem Police have launched a search operation for the accused after checking the CCTV footage of fuel station along Dhargalim-Sukekulan highway.
The police stated that around 11 pm, a vehicle approached Sairaj Petrol Station at Dhargalim, after asking the staff to fill petrol worth Rs 2,000, the driver left after handing over 4 notes of Rs 500 denomination. The station staff later discovered that the notes were fake.
Petrol pump owner later filed a complaint against the unknown accused at the Pernem Police Station.
