PANJIM: River Navigation Minister Subhash Phal Dessai has said that the government has proposed to expand and reconstruct both the ferry ramps at Ribandar through the Public Works Department (PWD).
In a written reply to a question tabled in the state assembly by Mayem MLA Premendra Shet, the minister stated that the Executive Engineer, WD V, of Public Works Department (PWD) has been asked to submit the estimates for both the ramps.
However, the minister said the government has not issued order to Executive Engineer WD-V PWD for widening of one ferry ramp while no estimate had been received from the PWD to construct the second ferry ramp.
