MP assures to look into ban of low grade ore

South Goa Member of Parliament (MP) Francisco Sardinha has assured Goa Barge Owners Association (GBOA) and people related with mining business to pursue the recent moves of China Chamber of Commerce of Metal, Minerals and Chemical Importers (CCCMC) to ban import of low grade iron ore with the concerned Union Ministry by Monday.
The GSouth Goa MP as speaking to media along the sidelines of the function of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Headland Sada, Vasco, on Wednesday.
“Every country has its own set of rules and one cannot influence them, but with such a sudden decision, countries directly dealing with China will definitely suffer,” stated Sardinha.
“Definitely, there is a scope for negotiation with China and I will put the grievances of the people related with mining business in the State before the Union Minister to take up the issue with the Chinese counterpart,” assured Sardinha.
