Says projects initiated previously under MPLAD will not stop due to change in candidate

SANGUEM: Newly elected South Goa MP Adv Narendra Sawaikar commenced his development activities in Sanvordem constituency by inaugurating a rural medical dispensary in remote Dudhal-Kalay.
Speaking at the inaugural function, Sawaikar said he is pleased to commence his development activities in Sanvordem constituency, given the fact that he had commenced his poll campaigning for the Lok Sabha polls from Sanvordem constituency. Adv Sawaikar had polled maximum votes in Sanvordem constituency as against all other party candidates.
Sawaikar claimed that no work undertaken under the MPLAD scheme will be left incomplete due to the change in candidate. He urged the party workers to bring to his knowledge any pending work under the MPLAD scheme and that it will be continued by his office.
Adv Sawaikar was accompanied by Industries Minister Mahadev Naik, Sanvordem MLA Ganesh Gaonkar, Kalay Sarpanch Vaishali Naik, Deputy Sarpanch Balu Rekdo and others.
In his speech, Industries Minister Naik assured the villagers to undertake all the pending works he had promised during the poll campaign. Gaonkar has claimed to have fulfilled most of the project works and assured to undertake the remaining projects in the next two years.
Panchayat Members Santosh Gaonkar and Vilas Bicholkar also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, Sarpanch Vaishali Naik welcomed the gathering, Vinay Gaonkar compered the function, while Deputy Sarpanch Balu Rekdo proposed the vote of thanks.
