VASCO: Mormugao Port Trust taxi operators were joyous on the arrival of Cordelia Empress cruise ship, on Sunday.
Taxi operators assured to do business by following government Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Mormugao Port Trust Taxi Union President Sanjay Kanoji said that there are around 170 taxis operating at the cruise terminal area and after the arrival of Cordelia Empress cruise ship around 250 taxi operators will get business, which is a great news.
Umesh Mandrekar, a taxi operator said that during COVID-19 pandemic taxi operators suffered and now the arrival of the cruise ship is a blessing to them. He assured that taxi operators from their union will follow all SOPs and will co-operate with the government.
