BICHOLIM: Mulgao gram sabha passed a number of resolutions on Sunday for the development of the village.
The meeting was held in panchayat premises under the guidance of Sarpanch Pradeep Revodkar.
The resolutions include providing job cards under MGNRGA scheme, repairing of different roads, inclusion of BPL holders’ names into Pradhan Mantri monthly Awas Yojna and other issues.
Villagers also put forth issues pertaining to construction of play ground, sports gym, proper management of stray animals, cutting of dangerous trees and toilet facilities to villagers.
Sarpanch Revodkar assured to undertake construction of play ground and sports gym by taking NOC from comunidade.
He informed that with the help of animal husbandry department, the panchayat is planning to construct cattle pound for stray animals. He also assured to cut dangerous trees after getting permission. “Toilets will be provided to the villagers once the panchayat gets proper plot,” he added.
Various committees like Road safety and traffic management committee, village water and sanitation committee, Vigilance committee, village education committee, village child committee, biodiversity management committee, and village development committees were formed on the occasion.
