PANJIM: With the Union government announcing Unlock 5.0, the State government has decided to partially open the multiplexes, swimming pools and sports and cultural functions.
As per the orders issued by the District Collectors (North and South), swimming pools will be allowed to open only for training of sports persons.
“Cinema/theatres/multiplexes up to 50% of their seating capacity. Social/academic/sports/entertainment/cultural/religious/ political functions and other congregations with a ceiling of 100 persons subject to the conditions,” the orders said.
The orders further said that for the functions in closed spaces, a maximum of 50% of the hall capacity will be allowed, with a ceiling of 200 persons whereas in open spaces, keeping the size of the ground/space in view and with strict observance of social distancing, mandatory wearing of face masks, provision for thermal scanning and hand wash or sanitiser.
The orders come into effect from October 15, 00.00 hrs.
